Associação Turismo de Lisboa
Exhibition Design / Industrial Design
Project developed at Latitudes
2011 - 2012
This was an exhibition stand for the ATL (Associação de Tursimo Lisboa) for the biggest tourism fair in Portugal called BTL (Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa) in 2011 and 2012. This stand had an area of 216 square meters and it represented the host of this fair, the city of Lisbon, gathering in the same place the other tourism entities of Estoril, Mafra, Oeiras e Sintra. The project's concept was based upon a modular structural piece that had its origin in the triangular shapes present on Lisbon's flag. This piece allowed for a modular construction using the replication of this shape in each space and significantly reduced the construction costs.16

Modular Structure

The exhibition area for Lisbon is built on the same structure, but arranged to give it greater dimensions and a prominent position. All this without losing the elegance of shapes and maintaining a direct connection to the other spaces of the stand.

Using the modular piece was built an exhibition area identical for each of the entities.
These touchscreens are meant to control and track the car’s charging process but also could have the city's useful information or advertising spots. In this case anyone can use it when it’s not charging an electric car.

Each entity had at its disposal an space for visual printed panels, a screen, a counter, as well as meeting table and beverage service.
In the end we can say that the E-Plug results from merging an electric charger with a muppie or city screen, as a way to reduce the number and cost of street structures.

In order to maintain the good flow of circulation between areas the space was kept open but with everything that was required for all entities.
